Fly a saucer low over farms, a city and a coastal military base. Early on you choose a side: help the visitors or stop them. Your choices build trust with each side and decide which of three endings you reach.

What you do

Four missions: The Sighting, Blackout, The Abduction and the boss mission The Mothership.
Three endings: Peaceful Disclosure, Defender of Earth or Alien Occupation.
Hangar and Data Banks: spend Data Points on ship upgrades and unlock files that change how you play.
Siege Night: an endless mode where you defend the town from waves of drones and build allies.

Controls

Move with W A S D or the arrow keys. Hold Space or the left mouse button for the tractor beam.
E or right mouse fires an energy pulse, F the laser and Shift a burst dash. On touch screens, use the joystick and on-screen buttons.

Real-time strategy

Humans and aliens fight over the same valley. Draw a line from one of your bases to another and troops stream along it. Captured bases produce more units for you. Take the whole map before the two rival factions do.

What you do

Streaming lines: open, chain, lock and cut supply lines. Lines that meet in the middle clash.
Unit tiers: soldiers and drones grow into packs, then tanks and walkers, then helicopters and UFOs that fly over ridges.
Defence towers: upgrade a full base into a missile, plasma, laser or beam tower.
Command shop: wins earn Data Points for permanent upgrades. Levels 1–50 are a campaign, then endless levels.

Controls

Drag from your base to another base to open a line. Drag across a line to cut it.
Use the mouse wheel or pinch to zoom. Tap the lock chip to keep sending troops after a capture.

Enemies march down a road toward your HQ. Build turrets on the pads beside the road, upgrade them and survive every wave. As the humans you face greys, drones, hovertanks and a UFO boss. Switch sides to defend the alien base against soldiers, tanks and helicopters.

What you do

Five turrets: the machine gun, cannon and laser, plus the rocket launcher and cryo projector, which unlock later in a run.
Upgrade or sell: each turret upgrades for more damage and range, or sells back for 60%.
Data Banks and run cards: permanent upgrades named after famous UFO case files, plus a choice of bonus cards each run.
Ten designed levels, then endless waves that keep scaling.

Controls

Tap a pad to build and tap a turret to upgrade or sell it. Press Space to send the next wave early.
Press 1–5 to build a turret quickly, F for double speed and Esc to pause.

Frequently asked questions

Are the UFO Data games free?

Yes. All three games are free to play in your browser. There is nothing to buy and no account to create.

Do I need to download anything?

No. The games run directly in a modern web browser with WebGL, such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.

Can I play on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Every game has touch controls, and Planetary Takeover and Perimeter rotate the map for portrait screens. A keyboard and mouse work on desktop.

Is my progress saved?

Progress, upgrades and best scores are saved in your browser on the device you play on. Clearing site data resets them.

Are the games based on real UFO cases?

The gameplay and stories are fiction. The Data Banks you unlock in First Contact and Perimeter are named after well-known UFO cases; the real declassified records are documented in the UFOData.org Case Library.
