CASE FILE F-32
An RF Alert, a Thermal Optic, and Two Black-Hot Objects - FBI Case F-32
2026-09-12 · Declassified UAP records
An FBI FD-302 from 2026 records an interview with a man whose name, position and employer are redacted. He had "no aviation expertise" and a redacted amount of private pilot time. On a redacted day in 2026 he was positioned at a redacted location with others, including an FBI Special Agent.
"At approximately time 1604 he was alerted to an RF detection at 10K MSL for 5-10s at 90 burst with an unknown bearing. Further communication clarified a request to observe at bearing 58 degrees." The 10K MSL figure describes the RF detection; the report does not give an altitude for the objects.
Within a few minutes he used a thermal optical device (make redacted) to look toward 58 degrees and "saw a black object in the sky. It was not moving fast." He photographed it, then "saw a second object to the right of the first" and took additional photos and videos. "The objects were moving together at the same speed. Both were black hot." He watched for "approximately 5 - 10 minutes" until they "traveled a distance out of view," could not estimate altitude or speed, and noted they were "above the mountain line." The report gives their direction as "SE, approximately 58 degrees to 62 degrees" - a bearing that does not match southeast - and adds that distance made the direction "difficult" to determine.
He "was the only one at his location to see the objects" and "the only one who used the optic." An agent looked at the photos, which were provided to a Special Agent. The report does not describe the images, does not identify or explain the objects, and never uses the words UAP or UFO. The FD-302 is transcribed below.

FBI FD-302 — Interview Regarding Two Slow-Moving Objects Observed on Thermal Optics (2026)
Date of entry ██████/2026
██████ Special Agent ██████, ██████ ██████ telephone number ██████, email address ██████ was interviewed at ██████ ██████ ██████ Agent ██████, email address ██████ participated in the interview. After being advised of the identities of the interviewers and nature of the interview, ██████ provided the following information:
██████ He has held this position since ██████ He has been with ██████ since ██████. He has no aviation expertise. He has ██████ of private pilot time.
On the day of ██████ 2026, ██████ was positioned at ██████. Others with him include ██████ SA ██████
At approximately time 1604 he was alerted to an RF detection at ██████ at 10K MSL for 5-10s at 90 burst with an unknown bearing. Further communication clarified a request to observe at bearing 58 degrees.
Within a few minutes, ██████ used a ██████ Thermal optical device to look in the direction of 58 degrees. He saw a black object in the sky. It was not moving fast. He took pictures using the optical device. While observing he saw a second object to the right of the first and took additional photos/videos. The objects were moving together at the same speed. Both were black hot. He lost view of the objects when they traveled a distance out of view. Total observation time was approximately 5 - 10 minutes. ██████ is unable to estimate an altitude or speed. The objects were above the mountain line. They were moving in the direction of SE, approximately 58 degrees to 62 degrees. Given the distance of the objects it was difficult for ██████ to determine direction of travel.
██████ was the only one at his location to see the objects. He was the only one who used the optic. The ██████ agent looked at the photos ██████ took. The photos were provided to SA ██████.

An F.B.I. interview from 2026. A man is alerted to a radio frequency detection, and asked to look in one direction. What he finds shows up on thermal.
At about sixteen oh four, the alert: an R.F. detection at ten thousand feet above sea level, for five to ten seconds, bearing unknown. Then a request to observe at bearing fifty eight degrees.
Within minutes, through a thermal optic, he sees a black object in the sky, not moving fast. Then a second one, to the right of the first. They move together at the same speed. Both are black hot.
He took photos and video through the optic. He could not estimate their altitude or their speed.
They stayed above the mountain line for five to ten minutes, then traveled out of view. The file says their distance made it difficult to tell the direction of travel.
He was the only one at his location who saw them, and the only one using the optic. The photos went to an F.B.I. agent. The file never says what they were.
