On 2 January 2024 a local law enforcement officer in Colorado recorded 1 minute 42 seconds of phone video (LLE-UAP-PR004) and narrated it in the style of a report. AARO removed the audio and published his words as LLE-UAP-D004.
The transcript: "Okay, it is January 2, 2024... I am at mile marker [redacted] I-[redacted] westbound direction. I am watching another orb that is flying approximately... 300 feet up off the ground. I did check radar. There is no aircraft flying in the area." Then: "This has been flying stationary for about 15 minutes," and at 1:04, "Okay, the craft is flying closer to me now. I can see it." AARO's summary adds that the officer described it as "silent" with "red, blue, and green flashing lights."
CORRECTION. When Release 06 launched on 18 September 2026, these same words were published as LLE-UAP-D001, titled "October 2023," with the date blacked out. On 24 September the Pentagon replaced that file with the actual October transcript, and later added this dated version. Our earlier Case L-1 video (published 29 September 2026) was built from the first file and paired these words with the October 2023 footage. That pairing was wrong: the words belong to the 2 January 2024 recording shown here.
Cautions from AARO: the transcript "reflects the reporter's subjective interpretation at the time of the event," and phone cameras "employ autofocus and other automated image-processing functions that may distort the apparent morphological and kinematic characteristics of distant subjects." In our video the clip is shown with the centre of the frame enlarged two times; nothing else was changed. The case is unresolved.

He logs it like a report. The date. The mile marker. Then: I am watching another orb, about three hundred feet up off the ground.

A correction. The Pentagon first released these words labelled October 2023, then replaced the file. We used that first version in an earlier video. These words belong to this night.
